The annual trade fair for aircraft cabin interiors "Aircraft Interiors Expo 2016" (also known as "AIX") took place from 4th until 6th of April 2016 in Hamburg. Traditionally ALTHOM was represented as anexhibitor at the HANSE-AEROSPACE-Pavillion. Out of 530 exhibitors more than 80 exhibitors were settled at the pavillion of the associaton of aviation and space industries.
For the first time our C.E.O., Alkviadis Thomas, as newly elected first chairman of HANSE-AEROSPACE e.V., opened the exhibition with his successful opening speech. The HANSE-AEROSPACE e.V. is an association of more than 160 small and medium-sized manufacturers and service providers of the aerospace industry..
The trade fair for aircraft cabin interiors is a great stage for new production developments. In particular, 3D printing, which enables new and lighter structures and designs, gave exhibitors the opportunity to present the latest innovations.
Another important issue of Aircraft Interiors 2016 was the progressive connection of off- and online networking. A milestone in social media in the aviation industry was set 2015, as the Hanse-Aerospace has launched the mobile applicationAVIPEO. Both the cooperation platform and SCAN and AVIPEO presented at the Aircraft Interiors 2016 new, improved version.
